Welcome to the latest edition of Barley Times - the newsletter which aims to keep you informed about the latest news at Barley Bottom - your favourite online homebrew shop!
This month we're happy to announce a £50 voucher giveaway, new casks, new hops and a new recipe kit based on Bitter & Twisted. We hope you enjoy reading the latest news from Barley Bottom.
£50 Voucher For One Lucky CustomerThis month Barley Bottom will receive its 1,000th online order and to celebrate we're giving away a £50 voucher to be spent on the Barley Bottom website. All you need to do is place an online order this month to be in with a chance of winning - whoever makes the 1,000th order will then be announced in August's newsletter. See website for more details.

We'll be receiving some new 4.5 gallon plastic casks very soon - similar to the 9 gallon casks that are already on the website but suitable for smaller batches like Cornelius kegs. Hook these up to a beer engine and you've got a great real ale set up.
New hops in this month are Centennial and Progress. Centennials are regarded as supercharged Cascades so a great dual purpose hop for pale ales and barley wines. Progress were originally grown as a Fuggles replacement, bred from W.G.V but are ideal combined with Goldings in any standard bitter.
This month's new all grain kit is Barley Bottom's interpretation of Harviestoun's Bitter & Twisted. This blond ale is bittered with Fuggles and finished with Bobek to create a refreshing pint with a twist of citrus flavour.
